I've long stood by the idea that in the political turmoil that is contemporary America the A-Team would be a fascinating property to revisit.
'A crack commando unit' on the run from the Military Police would be some folks' idea of a terrorist cell. On the flipside they frequently did battle against greedy landowners, corrupt officials and gangsters, frequently taking on jobs protecting oppressed people and enslaved migrants.
Along with the fact that there were seldom any injuries let alone deaths during their extensive shootouts and car chases, I began wondering what an animated A-Team show would look like.
I never set out to create direct caricatures of the original cast, rather I attempted to capture their characteristics. That said, with somebody as iconic as the mighty Mr. T there was little point diverging from what was already a perfectly stylised creation.
I hope these soldiers of fortune emerge from the Los Angeles underground for more adventures one day.
I pity the fools who would stand in their way.
